In our series of ‘meet the team’ articles, Hera Beauty highlights the experts who can help your brand grow and achieve success. In this article, we introduce you to Lauren Daramy, our New Business Manager, who guides clients through the process.

What attracted you to working with Hera Beauty in the first place?

My genuine passion for all things ‘personal care’! I had just completed a degree in Bioscience, specialising in Microbiology and Biochemistry, and was eager to begin a career in the skincare industry. When I came across the role (back in 2016), it immediately felt like the perfect fit. At the time, Hera Beauty was a very small team with only three employees. I’ve really loved being part of the journey and helping the company grow into what it is today: a leading UK beauty manufacturer.

Could you explain more about what your role involves? 

I focus on driving growth by identifying and securing partners. On a day-to-day basis, I manage all new business by guiding clients through the initial concept phase, and overseeing projects end-to-end. This includes organising regular team calls to ensure clear communication and alignment. Once the first production run is complete, I will prepare a seamless handover to their dedicated Hera Beauty account manager, who will continue to work with them going forwards.

What makes you well-suited to your position?

I enjoy meeting new people and taking the time to learn more about the brands I work with and the stories behind them. I’m naturally curious about understanding each brand’s values and vision, which helps me form meaningful connections. I’m organised, ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently, and I genuinely enjoy building strong, lasting relationships so partners know they have someone they can trust and rely on at every stage.

Having now spent a decade in the industry, I’m able to share a strong depth of knowledge and confidently guide customers through every stage of the process - from initial concept through to product launch.

What does a typical day look like for you? 

It always starts the same way: with a coffee! From there, I check my emails to prioritise what the day is going to look like. It’s usually a full schedule of calls with customers, alongside internal meetings to discuss the progress of ongoing projects.

What’s your favourite part of what you do?

I love meeting new people and building working relationships. There’s nothing better than helping to bring customers’ visions to life. It’s such a rewarding moment to see a product we’ve worked on reach the shop shelves. On top of that, we have a fantastic Hera Beauty team, which makes it a massively enjoyable place to work.

What do you want to achieve in your role?

What I hope to accomplish is the continued growth of the business through building strong, long-term relationships with established and emerging brands. My goal is to be a trusted partner to our customers, while also strengthening Hera Beauty’s reputation within the personal care industry by bringing on exciting brands that align with our values and contribute to the company’s long term success.

What are Hera Beauty’s strengths as a personal care manufacturer? 

It definitely lies in our ability to be a true partner to our clients; working closely to bring their vision to life. We prioritise collaboration at every stage of product development; ensuring that our solutions align with our clients’ goals and brand identity.

Additionally, we have a strong focus on natural ingredients. We formulate products that are both effective and safe, while meeting the growing consumer demand for clean, sustainable personal care. This combination of partnership-driven service and commitment to natural, high-quality formulations sets Hera Beauty apart in the industry.

What does the future hold for the UK’s beauty sector? 

It’s poised for continued growth. Technology, including AI and virtual try-ons, is transforming how products are discovered, personalised, and purchased. Demand for natural, clean, and sustainably sourced ingredients is increasing, with consumers continuing to value transparency and eco-friendly practices. It’s always incredibly exciting to see innovative launches from forward-thinking brands.

When you’re not working, what do you like to do?

Most of my time is spent chasing around after my son, who has just turned two. Life is never quiet! When I do get a moment to myself, I love a good pamper or spa day. I’m also a huge Nottingham Forest football fan, but whether that’s something I should openly admit at this time is debatable…
